Angry Stupid Useless Golem Manual

This is a rant and rave on my part....

Who feels that the way cespenar upgrades that golem manual is s***e, first you get a clay golem..pretty cool cos they are immune to all but magical blunt weapons but a tad weak. So next he upgrades it to a stone golem, far more useless cos he can be hit by any +2 enchanted weapon. stupid idea!!!
But not to worry I thought, when I get myself a juggernaut golem I`ll have a well ace little summon that'll be well ard ... YEAH RIGHT!!!

The last upgrade makes a baby iron golem who's best hit so far has been 11( (wow...wish I could hit that hard!!!) and also, it protects you from 5 melee hits (as per the stoneskin spell that can protect you from 10(which anyone able to use this book can cast(even thieves))) and to make it even better, the golem sods off when you`ve taken 5 hits and leaves you vulnerable again.

I don`t know what the idea was in the golem manual concept but I can say one thing...it is w**k (if it was based on the premise that yer mage sits back and lets yer *uberpowerful* golem kill yer TOB enemies whilst you wallow in your invulnerability, it is flawed twice...first off you could achieve the same effect by casting stone skin and any summon you like (such as a planetar or elemental)..and secondly it does sod all to protect you from magical attacks.

I thought the golem manual idea would be interesting but it turned out to be a load of bo****ks

I haven`t yet finished the expansion pack yet but already I feel that all in all it is a rushed and shabby effort that is far surpassed by SOA and TOSC

well thats my rant over with anyway

The Clay Golem is a very useful summon. Very few enemies are carrying blunt weapons. The old Jugger is supposed to be immune to anything less than (or equal to?) +2, but isn't. I saw a patch for it once.

Basically, once you have Clay, stick with it.

That manual upgrade is skewed, but I suspect that's the fault of AD&D, not Bioware. After all, they're sticking with the rules they've received. On the other hand, they could have added a few optional quests that included blunt weapon users, lowering the clay golem's attractiveness.

Yeah, or they could've added an Adamantine Golem page - those things last a *gasp* fully two rounds against a good fighter...

In my opinion it's was a good idea cut short. Your 31st level archmagi is able to summon *one* golem...wow - seeing as 29th level Irenicus has about 50 or so throughout the game it seems to me that someone is pissing on my character if he should feel grateful for that manual.

S***e = generally poor, really only good for flushing down the lav.
W**k= again poor, a substitute for the real thing
Bo*****s= once again, not much use. "pl. n. Brit slang [treated as singular] nonsense; rubbish var. of earlier ballock Gmc origin"- Oxford English D**tionary

S***e = S.h.i.t.e - S.h.i.t
W**k = W.a.n.k - *ahem*
Bo*****s= B.o.l.l.o.c.k.s - British slang for Testicles

Ignore the dots.

CRAP NEBULA!!!!

In space are nebulas, proto stars or giant gas clouds that make up stars and solar systems eventually, now most nebula are made of hydrogen, but a few near older suns are also full of carbon, and due to solar radiation are basically hydro carbon, primitive hydro carbon, weighing several times tha mass of the sun. now primitive hydro carbon is basically decomposed hydro carbon, or crap.

so in space are masses of crap mesured in the terra tonnes...

Seeing as we're hopelessly off-topic anyway...

10 elephants in a circus ring
Step by step on a piece of string
They all thought it was such a wonderful stunt
That they called for another elephant.

The devil made me do it!

Would that be an ode to a circus or an ode to 10 graceful elephants?
