The reputation increase is because of the quests, if you don't like it, stop doing good quests.

I don't really get your second question but I'll try to answer it anyway. Your alignment have no effect what so ever on Sarevok, although being evil might change the chance you got at changing him to Chaotic Good - but then again you're evil, so why would you want to change him. If you keep on getting higher rep, Sarevok is going to complain no matter what your alignment is. Your alignment won't change when you pick up Sarevok - as explained previously.

welp...i was just looking for sum sorta balance...and really i found it...simply use slayer more often to keep the rep in the 13-16 range...it only helps a lil with his complaining mostly i don't want to end up with a 20 rep and have him walk out on the party...i don't play with all kinds of saves backed up in case i miss sumthing or mess up. In addition being the leader of the group i try to keep them all happy

but...thnks man you did awnser all my questions

I believe evil people won't leave the party in ToB. They'll complain, but won't leave.

That's correct. I've had Sarevok in my group with a reputation of 20. Of course, you have to put up with his complaining.

I'm going through ToB (second time)just for trying having Saverok in my party. BUT every five minutes or so he says, "We have to kill something, soon... my impatience grows."

He drives me nuts! Is he going to repeat it till the end of the game? Because, I don't know if I can stand it...

Cheers

Alignment have no effect on romances - only your gender, race and whether you have a romance or not matters.

The alignment changes occur when you took the evil paths while in Hell, searching the Tears of Bhaal. Here's the "good" ways:

1) You do not accept Sarevok's challenge to turn into slayer;
2) You give the Blackrazor to the genie;
3) You sacrifice your HP, 1 DEX and some XP;
4) You do not accept the Nyph Skin Cloak;
5) You do not attack the dragon just because "it's on your way".

If you did the other things, then your alignment changed. There are 5 tears, but it ONLY takes 1 to change the alignment. And it's irreversable, so don't even hope to do 1 eenie-weenie 'evil' thing and hope that the rest 4 'goodie' things will fix it - they wont.

To get Sarevok to change alignment, at the beginning tell him that he doesn't need to take an oath. I think that this starts off the process of change.

Fair enough. I didn't get the chance to finish the romance in SoA, and she didn't seem too impressed with me bringing Sarevok back to life, whether I was good or evil...

Henry: It doesn't matter whether you make him take the oath or not, you can still change his alignment.

DragonDerk: The dialogue she said after you raise Sarevok have nothing to do with the romance.

Hi first post here, I don't know if you've had it suggested before, but I played through the first time as a Cavalier Paladin, and Romanced Viconia and replaced Minsc with Sarevok. When reputation started getting high, I just changed into the Slayer and changed back, problem solved

I have the same problem. I went through bg2 as a chaotic good charector and then a short while after I pick up sarevok and noticed I was neutral evil. I tried to use the editor to change it back but that does not work. Whats the deal here?

Did you do any of the test in Hell the evil way? To change your alignment back to what it was, go to the Affects section of your character in Shadow Keeper and delete the one that said Alignment Change (or something similar)
