Movement Problems

Ive played bg2 lots and just started playing against and came across a problem..just finished the underdark and the whole time i was down there my main characters movement speed was SEVERLY reduced, he crawls around the screen..even if you cast haste on him he still goes slow..you have to cast haste on him twice for it to have its normal effect..and boots of haste arent doing anything either..i dont understand at all..his totaly speed has juts gone way down,is it a bug? or does it have anything to do with that my charisma droped down to 2 lol..someone tell me thanks in advance

did you check to see if you were encumbered? had a spell cast on you?

If you were encumbered it would appear on the battle text, it's pretty obvious. If you are using any mods, you should also check their respective forums to see if such a problem is encountered before.

No mods no nothing..just playing the game the way it was meant to play..not encumbered..it just all of a sudden happened randomly and it wont go away..tried taking off all equipment blah blah just wont go away...my charisma is 2 but that shouldnt affect anything i wouldnt think..

is there a forum for bugs? if so where is it please

I think you can look at your character's base movement speed using Shadowkeeper. Is it the normal value (similar to the rest of your party)?

Shadowkeeper is a savegame editor for BG2. Open up your save, and you should be able to check and compare your characters base movement speed.

If you only have the problem while under the Drow-illusion, it may have something to do with regenerating items.. My characters always stopped walking whenever I told them to go somewhere, until I took the items off - BEFORE the disguise you get from the dragon.. I don't know if that helps?
