mod - casting spells with armor

Hello!

So i re-installed BG2 and ToB after 5 years of keeping it in the drawer. This time tho i added the darkest day to try it out, it was brand new back when i was playing it and i hadnt wanted to start over again!

Anyways, i been looking all over for a mod that allows spell casting while wearing armor. Mostly for multi class char and druids tho, and i would like the idea of a penalty when wearing heavy armor. To me it just dosent make sense that leather armor wont let a druid cast any spells at all.

I found some potential sites where that mod would be available but it tells me its not available to download... so i know it must exsist somewhere !

Does anyone have a link to a site that has that mod or that would be willing to email it to me?

Firstly, you mentioned druids. As far as I recall, druids and clerics suffer no restrictions on their divine spellcasting through wearing any kind of armor, including plate. Jaheira in my games, for example, wore plate throughout and was always able to cast spells even in the vanilla game.

Arcane casters are the ones who lose out if they wear anything other than robes (or certain elven/drow chestpieces). The links quoted above I hope will lead you to the mod you wanted.

If not, there is another option. At Pocket Plane and other places you will be able to download 'Near Infinity'. This is the editor I used, although others are also available. With this utility you can update any object in the game. I used it to modify the 'Armor of Faith' so that my Cleric/Mage protagonist could cast arcane spells while wearing it. It's very easy to learn to use, and any items you wish to modify are easy to locate with the search facility.
