Magic Missile

I don't like the new magic missile graphic in the expansion. Does anyone know how to turn it back to the way it was in Shadows of Amn?

Same theme, different object

Btw, I don't like the new animation of the cloak of reflection altough it's proper, simply because I can't see the character and everything around him anymore. Is there any way to get the old animation (the one with the silver circle) back with ToB plus latest Bioware patch?

Certainly - to get the old Cloak of Mirroring back, simply remove CLCK26.itm from your override directory.

Removing CLCK26.itm will not only change it back to the previous animation, but also the previous effect (which reflects instead of absorbing)

If you do this, does it mean that the cloak no longer protects against dragon breath weapons?

In SoA (Without ToB installed) the clock reflecterd all offensivespells directly cast at you (magic missile etc.) back to the caster.
In ToB It only absorbs the spell (and it looks annying to)
By removing the file, the cloack will appear and work like in SoA.

I believe Sabre has a patch to make the cloack look like it did in SoA but working as in ToB

thank you very much for that info!

that shimmering globe was annoying the hell out of me, and the spell reflection ability is oh so much nicer....

I have the feeling that the game producers changed that because the original robe was such a powerful item........and given some of the spells in ToB.......

Yeah, THX to Sojourner, now I can wear the cloak again. The other animation really drove me insane and I never used it for that reason.

Let's rename the thread to, "Thanks to Sojourner!", because...

...I'm going to say thanks myself! Now, if you excuse me. I'm going to find my cleric/ mage who had been lost in some annoying bloody globe!

Thanks, again, Sojourner!

Cheers
