Post magic defense

Will normal magic resistance help against spells such as maze?

There are a few attack spells that aren't affected by MR, such as Comet, Imprisonment, Dragon's Breath, and sunfire, IIRC

Please, correct me if i'm wrong, and could someone post other non-friendly spells that are not affected by MR?

Therefore, if I ever happen to become an Evil Overlord, ...

All Abjuration stuff, Detect Evil (if patched) and Magic Resistance are unaffected, I believe.

Patch or no patch it is still quite easy I only had some problem with the patch melissan.

First time I had a go at her after the patch, had to use the death by insane number of trap method to finish the last one.

But I think I'm getting quite used to fighting her.

Will any scoll protect from maze and imprisonment then? Or is enrage and chaotic commands all that helps?

Protection from Magic works - Abjuration and Conjuration (or is it Summoning for Maze?)

Actually, Maze does allow resistance, so Magic Resistance will help.

Yes, SI:Conjuration, Chaotic Commands or Enrage is the way to go. But MR can also help.
