Question I've finished...what now?

I've just completed BG2 SoA for the first time. Bit of a late starter, me.

So I'd like to import my character into BG2 ToB, but my save games only go up to the last full save I made, just before the final showdown with Jon in Hell.

Playing through from this point again, there doesn't seem to be any further opportunities to save past this point, and as far as I can see the game hasn't performed an autosave.

So, how can I access the file for my character at the point after he's killed Jon and chatted to the elves?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cano

After installing ToB, the game takes you directly to ToB when you beat Irenicus. You could import your char to ToB, using your last save but I guess that'll cost you a lot of xp.

Good stuff Coot.

I wondered whether this might be the case, but my mate is still playing ToB so I guess I'm in for a bit of a wait.

Cheers

Not to mention all the goodies you get for the tears.

Aren't most of the tears effects removed once you get into ToB? I could have sworn immunity to normal weapons and the extra MR never made it.

Well, then I couldn't play my favorite trick. once the mercanaries go hostile, I take my PC (who is usually a mage) into the Amekthran inn, and let the mercs in their attempt to hurt me while I summon up some playmates.

The problem is, 99% of the enemies you face have enchanted weapons, so immunity to normal weapons is worthless - unless your a mage with "protection from magic weapons", a spell I dearly wish had a longer duration.

if you have tob installed when you beat irenicus, then you will be automatically moved to Tob after talking with elves. Just beat irenicus again...its not that hard :P

I think your alignment only changes (if you're good or neutral) to neutral evil if you make an evil choice. Your alignment doesn't change to good if you take the good path, I believe.
