Post Irenicus and Familiars

In the beginning at the first challenge I have had Irenicus spawn a few times but cannot find out what causes him to spawn. When he does you get 60k exp as oppose to the 30k standard.

The other question is about the beastmaster ranger kit. I thought that they could summon familiars but I tried this and they could not. Also if you class out of beastmaster at eight or nine I believe you max out all available weapon proficiencies so you can't level up any more because there is nowhere to put the proficiency star. ( this char only needs 2 for staff 2 for two handed weapon and two for sling 6 total plus the two in two weapon style standard.) any ideas on how to avoid this problem?

hwttdz,

Welcome to the forums. Is this character the main character? Only the main character (Protagonist) can have a familiar. Every time I've played the beastmaster kit I've had no trouble getting a familar (except it was an annoying and useless dragon wannabe).

As for Irenicus and proficency stars, someone else will know. - Curdis

Isn't there a total of 21 places to put your proficient points? 2 each for: Club, Quarterstaff, Cross Bow, Long Bow, Short Bow, Sling, 2-Handed Weapon, Sword and Shield, Single Weapon; and 3 for 2 Weapons.

There are that many places unless you dual out to cleric in which case all of the bows are out meaning there are two for clubs, staff, two handed weapon, shield, single weapon, and sling then three for two weapon(two are already there). So if you dual at the right level you run out of slots.

I'm not sure that you run out of slots that way.
But even if you do, the computer will recognize that you can't use another proficiency, and ignore it. Meaning, that you actually don't get the proficiency point.
