gems?

i've finished the marching mountains and the forset of mir quests.
before going the the siege camp i want to sell all the things i grabbed along the way. i want to sell some of my gems since i have thousands of them and i need the money. i would really hate to sell gems and later on won't be able to make some weapons modifications at cespenar dude. so i was wondering
whether there's some gems i shoud keep for myself, and if there is some, which one's should i keep.

In general you'll want to keep at least a couple higher-end gems on you (rogue stones, king's tears etc.) for emergencies. This is especially true in the mods that use of expanded item forging.
