From SoA to ToB

I don't have ToB and I'm wondering what's the mechanism that keeps your party from SoA to ToB.
How do you keep your newly-gained stats when using the tears at the end of SoA? I didn't have time to save.

When you finish SOA, without TOB installed, a finalsave will be made which you can import in TOB. If you have TOB installed when you finish SOA, you will just continue directly.

There are, I think, 3 ways to start TOB.
1) start TOB fresh (2.5 M XP. no powers)
2) Import a saved game (incl. final save) but I'm not sure if you retain your powers from this one.
3) Replay from your final save then you will automatically be placed into TOB with powers eq. etc.

Sorry, someetimes I just type too slow.
