fighter wild mage multiclass or dual?

has anyone tried this?
or is it allowed?
i was thinking it would be nice to have 5 slots with a longbow as a mage and take advantage of the high strength and constitution bonuses, and i think a wild mage would be fun, games are supposed to be fun!
i did try a multi fighter/mage, but found the weapon slots limited to only two so maybe i could start as a human fighter (would prefer elf for this combo), then dual into (wild) mage? or fighter/sorcerer even?
ohh, what about a ranger with an archer kit and a wild mage character!?
well i dont want to use any hacks, just a pure game if i can.
so any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

You can't dual to a wild mage or sorceror. They both count as character kits and you can't dual into kits, only into basic classes.

you can dual to kits quite easily with a shadowkeeper tweak.

what you can't do is dual to a sorceror or barbarian as they are classes in their own right, specialist classes.

You can do a lot of things with shadowkeeper, but I just meant that without cheating you can't dual to kits. I should've been more clear about that.

fighter/mage

thanks for the help
may just try a fighter, get the archery slots, then dual to mage
or play the elf fighter/mage multi, but lack the slots in weapons
is there any armor a fighter/mage can wear? elven chain?
what about bladesinger (isnt that a f/m?) chain > aslyferund chain?
or go with cloaks and robes and bracers? oh my!
thanks again

You could be a Generic Archer dualed to a mage with the Tactics mod installed. Generic Archer is a fighter version of the ranger archer, but it doesn't have Hide in Shadow and druids spells.
