Edwin (SPOLIERS)

Okay, I just finished the game, and I understand that Edwin was the leader of the Red Wizards for a while before getting his ass kicked by Elminster. The last sentence, which mentions certain "Edwina" working at a tavern, totally confused me. Does anyone know what it means? I thought Edwina was Edwin's female form when he reads the Nether Scroll.

They are pretty vague about it in the epilogue, but I can only assume Elminster simply turned Edwin back into Edwina after their battle. Hence, 'Edwin' is dead, Edwina is still around though
