| The inactive class will never gain any high level abilities unless leveled to the stated amount of experience. In your example, Imoen would only gain mage abilities. If however you leveled Yoshimo to say a 24 (3080000 thief and then dualed to a fighter and went until the level cap, you'd have a total of nine HLAs. One for the thief BEFORE you dual and eight for the fighter when you reach the required amount of experience (or level).
