| | | Yes, you'll need to import from Shadows of Amn in order to get it in ToB. There are several ways you can do this:
1. Play through SoA, get the sword and then complete SoA - after which the party will be automatically transfer to ToB.
2. Import a save game with the sword - the option is on the main menu of ToB, along with New Game, Load Game, etc. This way, you'll get to start with the party that you have in that savegame - and I think the amount of xp per character is also boosted to 2.5 million, not too sure.
3. Export a character with Carsomyr, from the Character Record screen. Then start a new game in ToB and choose Import, from Character File. Your xp will be boosted to 2.5 million, unfortunately, you'll start the game with only that character. |

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

| | | What I used to do with my unused loot was stash it in one of the empty stalls in Waukeen's Promenade. I ended up building quite a collection (Made the Adventurer's Mart look bad) anyways, if you were like me and did the same then all you need to do is teleport yourself over to the zone where the item is stashed using console, grab it then port back. | | So you're a packrat too?
Instead of doing what Sebanis says and stashing all your loot in the promenade or your stronghold, try putting it in the first level of Watcher's Keep before you take on Irenicus. Since you can access WK in both SoA and ToB, and the map of the first level doesn't change when you go from one to the other, as soon as you can teleport out of Saradush you can pick up all the stuff you left behind in SoA.
I dd this with all the "unique" items (ie. any weapons/armor that had a name and history) and by the end of ToB I think I had every single major magical artifact in the realm.

| Ode, that's a great idea. I think I'll do that from now on. Bags of Holding groan when they see my party coming...

| | Me, too. I can't claim total credit for this idea, though, it was partly Sabre's idea too.
I just wish the pocket plane had a lot more containers for storage, it's really annoying the way you can't organize your collections of goodies in the measley three boxes you get.
