(Shouldn't it be "Demigorgon", isn't that just a typo? ^^)
Anyway. I've been trying to kill the Demogorgon over and over and can't do it. When I use fighters to chop him, my record is to get him to "injured" status. If I then go up the stairs and heal, he regenerates really fast so killing him bit by bit is not an option. I got Korgan and Sarevok (Korgan level 33, dual wielding Crom Fayer and Runehammer, Sarevok only 22 but what the heck) and I use hardiness, whirlwinds, criticals, haste... everything, and I still get totally overrun. I can take some hits and deals nice damage but it's really just a matter of time before I get stunned or held and I die. I read in every stinking forum about people who claim having killed him with cloud kills, incindiary cloud, Abi-Dhalzim etc. IT DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!! Everyone says that's how they killed him. I don't get it. I've tried it all and all I get is "Demogorgon: Magic Resistance". The spells Lower Resistance, Pierce Magic and Pierce Shield doesn't work (it doesn't lower his resistance at all). Greater Malison doesn't work either. I even tried imprisoning him. Didn't work. What am I gonna do?!
My party: Dragonbice, Wild Mage lvl 28 - Korgan, lvl 33 - Sarevok, lvl 22 - Viconia, lvl 35 - Jan, lvl 18/24.
I got all the cool stuff available to me at this point in the game (I just killed Yaga-Shura).

Did you actually not think I haven't checked gamebanshee's suggestions on killing demogorgon in the "powerful enemy-whatever it's called" section? I'm posting in these forums, it was the first place I looked.

Why don't you try to use spells that lower enemy resistances? Also, I've found elemental weapons very effective in general. Use the Spectral Brand and the Flail of Ages +5. The cold damage goes through Stoneskin and can occasionally disrupt spells. Try to lure the Mariliths away from Demogorgon and take them individual. With damage going through their magical protections, you will find that they really don't have a lot of health.
Now, this I haven't tried myself, but try casting Protection of Magic on the big guy. In theory, it should disable his spellcasting, making him pretty easy to take down with your party. Also, have a designated tank. Best choice? Your Wild Mage under the effects of: Blur, Mirror Image, Spirit Armor, Stoneskin, Improved Haste, Tensor's Transformation, (Absolute Immunity on occasion) and Shapechange (Greater Wolfwere). While you won't really be able to hit him, you'll certainly be able to yawn through all that damage as the Greater Wolfwere form, along with Improved Haste gives you amazing regenerative powers.

Here's the easiest way to kill Demogorgan .......: Talk to him the first time and then plant as many spike traps and regular traps that you can right underhim. Then start fighting him and boom he's dead. Very cheap absolutelly no fun but as easy as it gets.
Other than that the fun of it is figuring out how to defeat him with what your party members can do. Make sure you using every party member all the time even if it means switching to turn based combat so you can follow exactly whats going on. As Chrenshinon mentioned lowering resistance and saves is key along with anything that will damage through certain protection and disrupt things. You'd be surprised but a lower resistance spell and then finger of death will kill any of the SOA dragons almost everytime.

Go near demogorgon with 2 mages, both mages have a trigger prepared with something like pierce magic/pierce magic/malison. Cast the 2 triggers on Demogorgon, as soon as he has been hit by the spells have both mages cast chain contingiency and stick 3 abi dhalzims into it on enemy sighted. There, a one round victory.

It's amazing that I begin with telling everyone what I have tried already and getting almost only suggestions on using spells that I know don't work.
Well, thanks for trying to help anyway, I have killed him now though. I sent Korgan and Sarevok in with their hardiness, berserking and whirlwinds and finally it actually worked. Guess I needed some luck with the attack rolls.
By the way, people are talking about Mariliths. Are you playing on a different difficulty setting? I play on the normal one and Demogorgon spawns 4 or 5 Glabrezus every 5 seconds, but no other types of monsters. Some of the Glabrezus cast spells as well.

Most, if not all of these suggestions do work. I usually get Mariliths when I fight him on Insane. I use no mods.

Kinda weird then that I bombarded the guy with lower resistance pierce shield/magic etc + greater malisons and he retained the same resistance and saving throws as before. The only thing besides the original SoA + ToB that I have installed is the tweak pack thingy, no mods :\ Anyway, I killed the dude so whatever, close the thread! xD ^^

that's weird that these spells don't work. I play on insane with Ascension, tactics and SCS2 and they do work. Everytime Demogorgon summons new demons his magic resistance is restored and he heales up (don't know which of the mods does that) so you have to act quickly, but really the method I described works, another working method is just to have 1 or 2 mages use improved alacrity and then hitting him with these spells in quick succession.

My current party will feature my Conjurer, Imoen and Jan. More than enough firepower even against tougher Demogorgon or any other opponent.
That's with SCS II, Ascension and Longer Road installed. Hate Tactics though.
