Question About the new experience cap...

So, the experience cap for ToB is 8 million? Sweet. That's alot of levels. Hopefully someone will be able to help me out with a question... I'm in the middle of SoA(Kicking butt in Spellhold, to be exact), if I were to install ToB now, would my current game reflect the new 8 mil experience cap? And can I travel to the new areas, then return to Athkatla to finish SoA?

yep. installing will give you new options like putting necklaces and rings into gem bags, holding tab to highlight all the doors and chests, the new xp cap and high level feats..and will let you acess watchers keep. (the only new area available form soa)--but once you enter TOB after beating irenicus.. you cannot go back.

The problem with installing ToB is that in effect you lose all the bugfixes (if I understand things correctly) that Kevin made for SoA, and has released up on his Baldurdash website. Between the two options, I'm planning on holding off on installing ToB again (had to remove it once) for my fifth run-through, and my second with ToB, until I get very close to the end of SoA.

in old soa, I have read if you hit the old cap, by your NPC's, without the exp cap remover, they will leave you. Is this true for TOB as well? If you move from soa to tob by killing irenicus, you can start tob with around 5 million exp a the start of the game, and quite frankly, watchers keep is around a 2 million xp, so you are dangerously close to maxing out your chars with tob. anybody have npcs at 8 million???

Your party members will *not* leave you if you hit the old experience cap. They just won't gain levels.

But you cannot gain 8 million XP. I finished all quest and ended with 6 million

Ah, there's a trick to that. You can indeed hit 8 million XP, just not with 6 characters. You'll be a lil' upwards of 7 mil. with 5, and will hit (even w/o every quest) with 4.

How many party members do u have? I think it's only possible to get just past 3M in SoA (w/o WK) for a party of 6?

Did every single damned quest I can think of, and couple of exploits if they come up as some of my chras were nearing level up.

Bad!

I hit 8mil exp with a party of 6. Did all the quests and then before the last fight I went to Sendais enclave and kept resting there for a couple hours and I was maxed
