Them boots of speed. Somewhere it is clearly stated that all they do is give you extra movement, which is ok, but in that case, why is there a "haste" sign over the character icon, and why cant i use the ring of free action with it? i can, but it is buggy.

Is there a patch for this?

Have you tried Kenvins Patch? I know it fixes some problems with the boots of speed...
