why cant i get the demons mail off duergars in Irenicus's Dungeon?

i just started playing a PC created party for a game. I just beat the Duergar and i cant seem to find the Demons Mail on any of them and none of my characters have picked it up. Whats up with that?

You mean the Chain of the Dead? It's on the corpse of Ilyich...

Yes I had the same problem. I saw the mail of the dead on the ground but couldn't pick it up because my inventory was full. I gave some stuff to others but when I tried for the second time the mail was gone.

Solution: go back to a saved game before the fight with the dwarves and pick it up at once.
