Just a minor point. WHy bother increasing your wis to 12 from 10? Why not give those to your party cleric to memorise more spells.

BTW. Just redoing BG1 and there are 3 tomes of wisdom. I just made viconia wis 15 increase to 18.

There was only a good cleric in bg I Brewen( I know ,the yslic guy but he comes in the game so late) , besides I know that BG II was coming out so I replay BG I in order to Max my scores and Wisdom does afect the way that spells afect you.
And weasel, HOW? (replaying the game by using a imported character is as bad as using hacking)

Couldn't resist that tome of strength! As several posts have pointed out, you don't really need to stay up all night rolling - there's plenty of stuff in the game which maxes out you stats. If you're already high, youcan just give it to a weaker party member.

PS Heard that in NWN those minimised scores will really hurt. Charisma can help thieves, super-dumb int will hurt fighters. Also, I'm sure the BG 2 manual states that wis modifiers for magic defence, although in the tables, aren't actually applied in game.
