Weird BG2 glitch

Hi all, first post and I need help!
I've just started a fresh game of BG2 and I'm getting a couple strange glitches that have never happened before. The first is that upon character creation the hit point amount is that of a character one level higher than actual (ex. 7th level fighter starts with 80 hp, instead of 70). The second, and this has happened twice so far, Jaheira keeps losing her sling. It's bizarre, but it just disappears from her hand, and it doesn't show up anywhere else. I have TOB installed as well as the latest official patch and another patch that fixes the azuredge bug. I removed and reinstalled the game. No difference. Has anyone heard of this??

A fighter type's hitpoints depend on his level as well as constitution, however, unlike non fighter types, he gains benefits from constitution above 16, so, the score could play a part in this. Also, as it's D&D based, there's luck involved as usually you roll for your hitpoints. I'm not sure if this is the case here but it very well could be.

As for the sling, if it's not in your inventory, it's a bug. If the sling disappears on the game screen, it means it's out of ammunition.

Nope, not the con bonus, it's an actual extra level of hitpoints. The sling disappears, completely. It's just gone. I have to buy a new one.

It's the same for me. I'm pretty sure it's not a bug, because I figured it was a bonus for bhaalspawns or something

I'ze played the game thru several times before and have never had this happen, so I know it's not supposed to be a bonus for being a Bhaalspawn. It's definitely a bug of some sort. Though it's good to see it's not just me it's happening to.

I just got thesame HitPoints "problem". I had the HP for my mage maxed in BGI, imported him and he started the game at exactly thesame lvl, but with a massive 81 HP, almost twice as much as the 42 he had in BGI :O

I don't know how to fix it though, soz
