Question Two gliches that I would like advice on

1. I read on early posts about the Sassar bug....after i screwed up. In the Beholder dungeon, while fighting the lich, Sassar got wiped by the lich. Oops! Now there is no Sassar to prompt me to meet the turncoat cult member which enables me to descend into the pit and the ghoul world. I can't go back because I've cleaned out the Rift, killed the beholder, and whacked the lich. So, I dont get the second half of the rod and cant free the diseased dudes.

2. In the bridge district, i got the evidence, went back to the cop, and the cop then went to the tanners. He got snuffed and I found his body in the basement oven. What am i supposed to do with the stiff?

3. Bridge District--Barrelled into the Twisted Rune with my rogue stone....but forgot to save once arriving at that yucky place. I can't get back in. Do I need to go find another Rogue Stone?

4. If you are playing multiplayer and creating your own little posse, can you do the class-quests? Or, is only the main character eligible for his tailored quest?

5. Does anyone use Fireball or Sunfire? I seem to hurt myself and my own party more than the enemy. Any advice?

Thanks to anyone who attempts to answer this stream of gibberish.

2. I think you need to bring the body to the inspector in the government building.

3. Did you finish that dungeon? If yes, there is no point in going back since there is nothing else in there. If no, how did you get out again?

5. I used sunfire only twice with tragic results for my party. Try to cast fireball from a distance before you go in for the melee fight, it works good against bands of weeker opponents like cobolds and the like.

1. You could spawn him in via CLUAConsole, but since you already finished the quest he will probably just say "thank you".

1) You'll have to load a previous savegame to help the Diseased ones (Sassar warned you not to open the tomb, tsk, tsk ).

2) Take the body to Chief Inspector Brega in the Government building.

4) Only the protaganist (main character) gets a stronghold.

5) Try not to aim one near your party! I use Fireball a lot to get rid of low-level pests who tend to show up in groups, like kobolds and goblins.

1. Actually there is another way to complete the Unseeing Eye quest without decending into the beholder dungeon. When you come back up after retreiving the first half of the rod, just talk to the main guy in the cult. He should be in the room just to your left after you walk through the door with the double guard. In the Strategy Guide on this site, it tells you about a cheap way to get lots of exp points using this method. After you talk to him and say that you retreived the rod for him (I assume this is the evil way to do the quest) he attacks you - nice guy. You then have to kill the Unseeing Eye beholder without using the completed rod, obviously. I've looked at it, and you get close to the same experience points for both routes (75k for talking with the head dude, and then more after you kill the beholder).

Cool

answering #5,

Sunfire is a GREAT spell! Perfect for the Mage/Thief running point. You are hiding in shadows, staying 50 meters ahead of your party, when you come across several nasties, waiting in ambush. Nothing beats strolling into the middle of an ogre ambush by yourself. Position yourself in the general center of the group, and begin casting. The monsters will hear you casting, and you will appear out of the shadows, but they won't have more than a second or two to get any swings in... assuming you have stoneskins up, you won't get hit. They all come charging at you, then your Sunfire goes off... mmm, charred ogre.
You can then lean on a charred stump, picking your fingernails with a dagger, as the rest of the party arrives at the BBQ.

Sunfire one of my favorite spells. If you have the ring of free action or have a cleri cast free acton on the mage. Cast web and walk into the middle of the held group and ignite! Repeat if necessary.

With sunfire you should be ready to some loses, and, IMHO, this spell might be used only when fighting undead - they suffer much more than your party, if even it is hit. You can also protect your people against fire beforehand. There is at least one lich almost immune to fire, but the necessity to save from death is still here even for him (though i still am unsure if this resistance matters even against sunfire). For other kinds of opponents other spells can do more damage with less loses.

I have this way taken with little difference: i'd first spoken with the fellow with key. So i could decide for the second half of the rod and make the dead god temple quest. Some beholders and other are still bellow, so i couldn't complain on lack of xp.

P.S. There is a point should in fact be treated as a cheat, i.e. you can pause and talk with Gaal several times before he gets red, so earning lot of XP (you are getting xp every time you speak with him at the end of the talk). If you kill the Eye in the lower level you never have such a chance.
