Post ToB and the SoA experience cap

Does ToB work the same way as TotSC did? I'm asking this because I'm nearing the experience cap in SoA. Do I need to buy ToB now to avoid wasting XP?

By the way, check out this link: http://www.theonion.com/onion3121/billgates.html

i asked the same question 2 days ago.
the answer is yes: if u installe ToB while u are still playing Soa it will remove the exp cap of SoA.
so u get higher lvl's and high abilities.

Don't worry about XP in ToB. You'll hit your cap of 8M way too soon and long before then you'll stop caring because they've taken all the fun out of advancing levels (almost no additional spells, no bonuses in THAC0, and such. A mage with 4M XP can do anything that a mage with 8M XP can do. Ditto for the other classes. The only way to make XP gains meaningful in TOB is to multiclass or change classes.

How odd... The designers explicitly stated that they put the cap sooo high that they effectively disabled it.
