Just stop by (sorry for my english btw) , that in ToB , U can play with a character , that will be able too solo all bhaalspawns + 3/4 enemys in ToB.
Some time ago , I've played dual class , kensai/mage with 5 stars in staffs (Staff of the Magi) , but this hybrid was too powerfull , and there was no joy in playin it, so I start to experiment with -so called-singles (no multi's , no duals)What happend?Well once I created barbarian half-elf , lawfull evil , and started the game.And it was the best thing , that could done lol U see , barbarian on 11th lvl gains 10% resistance to any forms of physical damage..on lvl 15 and 19 he gains another 5% , so it makes 20% final...but that's not all...U can buy from Julev Defender of Eastheaven (+2 flail , +1 to ac , 20% resistance to any damage).So I held DoE in off Hand , and havin 40% resistance to any physical dmg , could battle for a long time , longer than normal figter...but thats no all eather..U see..with the ToB , goes special ability Hardines (+40% resistance to any physical dmg)..and it means , that after using Hardiness , having above 19 lvl , and in off hand DoE , U have 80% resistance to all dmg...and what that means?..well -Fire Giant hits are for about 5-7 hp when im usin H. , demons and such hit for 4-6 dmg (I have screen shot when battling demorogron , that even soraunded by about 3 balors , one dual wielding demon (dont recall his name) AND demogoron himself , the highest physical damage I got was about 8-11 hp , what is quite funny , cus' my barb has over 278 HP and combained with regeneration (cast by Jaheira) I was able too withstand all attacks of demons ,not drinkin even one elixir , and won the battle loosing only sarevok , not too mention the fight when opening the last seal in Watchers Keep, where I just fallback Imoen , Jaheria and Sarevok , and left my barb for opponents to focus on-higest damage was 9 hp , and Hunteress with the bow (Taralash?) was hitting me for 3-4 hp.Savin Throws are also quite low , wearing Humas Flesh+5 , Amulet of Seldarine and ring of gaxx , vs death its about -6 , vs spells its -4.
So , try too play barb and U see , what I mean calling it toughest class.

@Azureblade, welcome to the forum. You seem quite knowledgeable about the roll-factors involved in playing BG2, and I'm sure we all look forward to your participation!
