May I add, that, IMO, a Max level Fighter/Mage (Multi-Class), has a great possibility of begin more powerful than a single class Mage or Fighter.

Why may you ask?
Basically, the Fighter/Mage would benefit from a little of the high-level abilities from each class, thus being a more powerful foe.

I.E. A popular, yet current pick, TimeStop, then chopping them up with your Celestial Fire Katana (or any other sword for that matter). I have tested this out, being a level 13 fighter / 13 mage and csting Time Stop. I mannaged to take out two Pit Fiends this way! Way cool!

Interesting, but you have to remember that although Dragons Breath is immensly powerful. That higher level NPC's will gain more bonuses to their saving throws. And magic resistant characters will become a lot more common, good example would be the fire giants.

Skull Trap can do 120, Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting can do 160... If Dragon's Breath is just a vanilla area damage spell, I am not impressed.

Improved Alacrity, OTOH, would be awesome. Wasn't that the spell that lets you cast with no delay? Imagine wearing the Robe of Vecna with that and casting two spells per second!

And indeed, Mage should be most powerful. In fact, IMHO they already are in SoA (but weren't in BG1). With the right preparation and spells, they out-tank and out-damage any other class by far.

Not convinced? Try this: Cast Project Image, have it cast Farsight (or Wizard Eye) and Mislead, and send it off to do some damage while keeping the decoy around. Have it cast Spell Immunity to guard against True Sight and Spell Immunity to guard against Dispel Magic. Throw in Stoneskin and Mirror Image, and you have an invisible, invulnerable and remote controlled spell turret.
