Question starting all over from bg1 to b2 ToB

Hi this is my first post.

Now when ToB gone Gold I have some questions.
I have a plan I will start to play Bg1+expansion and then go to bg2+exspansion and I have some questions conserning this...

1.Jahiera, Minsc and Viscona are characters that is availible in both bg1 and bg2 and does the stats (when using tomes) remain when you import the final save too bg2?

2.And does the Hp remains?

3.And what kind of main character shall I have? I´m thinking on either a Dwarf fighter all the way or an human fighter who will be dualclassed in bg2...

( sorry for my spelling iSuck )

Hiya

I don't think that anything you do in BG1 to NPC's will be carried through to BG2, so use the tomes on your PC instead.

As for class - well that depends on what you most like to play with.
I'm duing a tour of BG1 whit intention of importing into BG2.
I've made a fighter, that I most properly will dual to either a mage or cleric in BG2 or maybe just play through BG2 like a beserker or wizardslayer.

1 & 2. No they do not =(on both occasions) , I've tested this out and was very dissapointed about it. You start BGII with exactly the same setup no matter if you've imported your saved game or just the character.

3. Go 4 a mage =), just because it's more intresting ...

btw. Dualclassing, you mighty want to consider a Kensai at 13th level (extra ˝attack) instead of the 9th level. With ToB's xp cap you'll still be able to reach a nice class as a mage, with exceptional fighting abilities

Doing the same thing also.
Presently in Naskel.
As for the mage/fighter issue.
I would start off as a fighter.
And then dual in BG2.
That way you can get alot of good spells and mages are far more powerful in BG2.

just some advice. get the golden pantaloons, they CAN be saved through exporting. noone knows what they do, but there is a pair of silver ones in SoA.

to complete the game with a fighter dwarf would be cool, you can get a mighty 22 CON, which will mean autoregeneration, quite fast too i bet, since 20 is what is needed to regenerate. then make him berzerker (well, any fighterclass) he will be the ultimate tank.
