SPOILER: losing your romance

Hey, I just got at the point where Bodhi kills your girl, Aerie, in my game. She gets turned into a vampire, I read somewhere. I also read that when this happens, your romance is OVER. You can't save her, you can turn her back, but whatever you do, the romance is over, gone.

Is this true? If so, I seriously hate Black Isle
There must be a way that your romance can progress through the rest of the game, I think romancing is one of the coolest aspects of the game. Losing Yoshimo wasn't that bad, but yeah.

So tell me, is there ANY way that after this happens, you can still go on romancing Aerie? Save her within a day? Set het variable back to 2 after saving her? (with shadowkeeper)

Note that I haven't tried to save her yet, I only saw she died, then I loaded an earlier game.

Put your lover down then bring them back to life (you know how don't you?).
Upon their ressurection a conversation should ensue in which you are thanked copiously (and probably physically). Provided you have the conversation the romance continues normally. If it doesn't it's another bug in the romance and it hangs. In short- death is *not* the end.

*Careful Joy Mode* So when you save her from vampyrism, she thanks you and the romance goes on? It's all just part of the romance...?

You know, Bodhi ALWAYS kills the char you are romancing with! This happened with me while romancing Aerie and Viconia. This is just another romance quest.

But there is a way to bring her back to life. If you didn't know it, then you have lost a lot. By the way, this is not "romance over" stuff, it is kind of "romance continuing". For example, after I have revieved Viconia, she told me that "now she trusts me and always wants to be with me. Bla-bla-bla, our love is eternal" (And if you remember when you are romancing her in cahpters 2-3, she eventually tells you that "she can not trust you, so goodbye my love").

So, how to revieve your romance:
In Bodhi's lair there is a room with locked/trapped chest, which contains a few books. Take these books the Temple to Oghma in the Docks. The priest will tell you someting about the book merchant. Now you must go to Umar Hills and find this merchant in the tavern. Talk to him.
After a very long conversation you will finally know something about "how to revieve a person and cure her from vampirism". He will not tell you a lot of details though.

Now go to the Temple Ruins and enter the temple. Find there a statue of woman with streched hands (you will have to pass the "mosaic-letter game on the floor"). Put in the hands of this statue the body of you romance-char and Bodhi's heart (you have all those, don't you?). Vuala! Congratulation!
Now your romance-char is revieved and you will get a very interesting dialog!

Would somebody tell me how Jaheira didn't get killed when I creamed Bodhi? This isn't my first time through, but it is the first time I've tried romancing an npc. I have the Improved Bodhi, but I doubt those modders would take that out. Or could it be that I haven't romanced her enough? Now that I think about it, I realize I've only been with her for 20 or so days, though it seemed we talked every couple of hours. I really thought it was fine... Anything I haven't thought of that would stop Bodi from killing Jaheira?
