Post Spirit animals?

I am trying out the different classes and kits and now I am trying a totemic druid. I was very surprised how effective these animals are, I cruised through Irenicus dungeon. They killed everything and very quickly too. When I got out of the dungeon I did the gang at the den and again the made short work of the foes. Then I proceeded to the circus only to find out that they couldn't hit creatures immune to normal weapons!!!! What is that??
Is it supposed to be like that? You have almost the same effect with the the shapeshifter, the greater werewolf is great but when you get it many monsters you face are immune to its attacks.
I opened up shadowkeeper and exported the weapons from these animals to take a look at them with infinty engine and there it says enchanted to hit 5???? Can anyone explain?

Okay I am gonna answer my own question. I have been checking everything and trying different things with infinty engine and this is the result.
The spirit animals weapons say enchanted to hit 5 but they are under attributes they are not magical. When I changed that to magical they did hit as +5. This is maybe too much but what I don't like with druids is that they are very powerful in the beginning and practically useless towards the end.
I would have liked the spirit animal to become better as the druid level, kind of like the monk in that respect. Their thac0 could improve their hd could improve etc.
Anyway totemic druids are still cool.

It seems that I am the only one who is interested in these animals, a shame really because they are really good. It is a fast summon and they stay for 5 minutes which is good. Án example of their strength is that a spiritbear easily takes down the cave bears that can be summoned as a 6th level spell.
Totemic druids are cool.

Totemic druids are a fun class. Hopefully ToB will remove the silly restrictions on druids like HoW did. They could easily come up with some nice compromises for powers ( the original reason druids had a cut off level) http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey, I love druids! I just prefer to play them dualled from a fighter so I have to stick with the straight druid!
When I first started to play the game I was checking out all the possibilities and did ask around to see if anyone knew the stats and abilities of the spirit animals but to no avail, so I never tried the totemic druid. Nowadays I would just check them out with the shadowkeeper or something but hey....level 14 max?! I´ll stick to my berserker lv.10/druid lv.14, he´s awesome!!

Totemic druid is really a great class. But it has the great problem of druid calsses: the frustration you have when you arrive halfgame to your exp cap 1.500.000. That's VERY bad. It would be nice to dual a fighter, but you can no more play as a totemic....or play a totemic dualled to fighter, but it takes too long to regain your abilities.... so it's a difficult class to choose IMHO

I believe you when you say your character is good but it is also fun to play single class. Besides if I was gonna dual I would choose ranger/cleric.
If you want to compensate for lack of levels then play human and exploit the dual class bug. Endless spirit animals isn't bad.

Beside the level cap, I think part of the problem is that druids are much stronger outside (Call Lightning, etc) but the game is mostly inside.

Also, although I think the Shapeshifter and Avenger are cool, the Totemic is probably the best of the druids. Shapeshifter and Avenger both rely on changing into forms -- and lose their spellcasting abilities while they do.
