Searching for saved games

As I noted earlier I have lost all of my saves. Can someone tell me a file extension or some other convention I can use to quickly search through my old hard drives and CDs to find previous saves?

your saves should be in directories with titles like

00000000-Auto-Save
00000001-Quick-Save
00000xxx-Whatever-You-Named-Your-Save

The files in each directory will be
baldur.bmp
baldur.gam
baldur.sav
worldmap.wmp
portrt0.bmp - portrt5.bmp

This is true for both BG1 and BG2 (at least the versions I have, with the expansions.)

It looks like the easiest way to find them would be to search for baldur.*
