Ring of Wizardry - Do Sorcerers get an additional memorized spell for these levels?

Will the ring of wizardy give sorcerers the ability to memorize an additional spell that they wouldn't have had (variety vs quantity) or merely one more spell of the appropriate level from the list they already have selected?

As you know sorcerers suffer from a lack of variety, rarely from a lack of quantity.

Please let me know if you have tried a sorcerer equiped with the ring of wizardry.

It just add to the amount that they can cast, they do not get to choose any more spell - just cast the one they know more times.

Thanks for the info. Now that my sorcerer has the ring I see what you mean. Obviously the ring would mean much more to a mage than to a sorcerer.
