Post Restoring the vampiric Aerie ... bug?

I didn't really bothered with curing my love interest of vampirism in most of my rounds through BG2, cos I had to trudge all the way back to the Temple Ruins, so this is the first time I actually made an effort ...

and after placing Aerie's body and Bodhi's heart in the arms of the statue, all I got as a result was a charred/blackened dead body on the ground which I can't pick up or cure ... anyone experienced this before, or is it just another quirk of my computer's depleted HDD?

If anyone has a saved game just before the restoration of Aerie, I'd be most appreciative if you could send it to me, cos I'm just curious to see what happens after she's restored ...

This is a very rare bug, but I have seen it before in a mailed savegame. In that one, chunks instead of a blackened corpse appeared when Aerie was restored. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the cause or solution. I'm wondering if it's related to her character definition being a little off, which also causes her INT to fall to 0 long after any Mind Flayers have been dealt with.
