| | | Quests Time Limits POSSIBLE SPOILERS POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Sorry, but I've got a couple more dumb questions.
I'm in still in Chapter 2, exploring and doing quest. I'm in the Graveyard District and I've gotten a quest from a little boy Ghost and from a guy named Tirdir. When I leave to go to another District (The Bridge District) I get waylayed and end up with another quest (won't mention quest to cut down on spoilers).
When I do finish the waylayed quest, I can't leave the Docks District without getting Xzar's quest. Now I've got all these quest, plus Nalia's quest from the start of Chapter 2.
My question is can I put off the quest from Xzar and anything else here in the Docks District until I go do the other ones.
The reason I ask this is because when I first arrived in the Docks District, Yoshimo said something that made it sound like we/he needed to do something or talk to someone here as soon as possible.
Don't get me wrong. I love doing all these quest. It's just that I don't want to mess things up to bad, if there is a time limit or order to do the quest.
Thanks again. Sonny

| | | Hi,
There are only very few quests with actual time-limits. If there are limits they are mentioned (example "Meet me here in 2 days").
The quests you mentioned can be finished in any order. I had the same problem when I first played the game : when you first make your way around the city, it seems that everyone has quests for you and that you don't know what to do first.
I hope I was able to help. |

| | | some npc's will eave your group if you do not do their specific quest quick enough, but usually it just involves beginning the quest. for example, nalia, if in your party, will leave if you dont start her quest within a certain time, but once you've gone to the area you dont need to finish it straight away. you can also do the quest without her, of course.

Tirdir merely tipped you off about a gang whose activities you can interrupt if you choose to do so. He's long gone, so there is no need to hurry on his behalf.
But having said that, either quest can be done in a very short amount of time, provided that you can find the places where you need to go. Quote:

When I do finish the waylayed quest, I can't leave the Docks District without getting Xzar's quest... | Xzar can wait a while. But since you're in the area already, you might as do his quest before heading on your way. It's more convenient that way. Quote:

In fact, it's not even necessary to do it at all. Yoshimo's comment is mainly a way for the game to alert you to the fact that a quest is available in the area. Basically, Yoshimo was just letting you know that he owes a "debt" to the Shadow Thieves, and you can help him "pay it off" if you wish. But no one is going to come after you if you don't do it. But it's a quest, so why wouldn't you do what he suggests?

| | | Thanks everyone for the help.
Just got a little overwhelmed there for a minute, and wanted to make sure I didn't mess up anything that might have been timed.
Having a great time, really enjoying all these side quest.
VonDondu, you're right, makes sense. Might as well do Xzar's quest while I'm here.
Thanks again everyone.
P.S. Did I put the Spoiler notice in the right place?

| | yes it is okay
btw there is also a spoiler function, lets say you have two questions,
one is a basic and the other could be a spoiler, you are able to put the second into a spoiler, its the button with the S or just use [s.poiler]and [/spoiler] |

| | | X's quest triggers a longer and more 'annoying' quest - I am leaving it, even though I have got as far as taking out the vamp HQ and can take a boat trip if I want. It may depend on your party and PC gender as to whether you want to trigger than long and involved quest.
I may do it, but with as many XP as my PC has got, the attraction of getting a few levels into watcher's keep is far greater.

After I finish X's quest, then I'm going to leave the Docks area, if the game lets me, and go work on the quest I already have. Really want to check out the quest I got from Nalia.

| | | good one to do early - if you can afford it a sword of flame or some other weapon with elemental damage might be useful.
if you are wealthy, the firetooth crossbow from Watchers is pretty good.

| | | Nay... with prudent use of items readily found on location, you can be unprepared and still manage through it without problems. Only use required items when necessary and not otherwise, and you'll do fine. In the worst case, there are people there that will be able to help if you're willing to take them in. |

| | | I have a similar problem re time limits. I am on the Elven palace, and could go for Irenecus, but have realised that there are a few goodies that I would like to collect first. That nice dragon armour that you get for killing Firkragg for example. Everyone is telling me to hurry, but do I need to?
Ellesime for instance has just said "Finish it quickly, I can feel the tree of life dying".

| | | Ellesime can wait. As long as you want. If there is at least one parasite alive, you can still visit all of the SoA areas.
I remember too, when I first played SoA, that I felt overwhelmed with the different quests I had to finish. But I'll try to give the time-based quests here (all of the other quests are NOT time based):
De'Arnise Keep, if you have Nalia in your party. You may either join her temporary or dismiss her straight away, this way the quest will not be timed.
Umar Hills quest, if you have Minsc in your party.
Rescue Garen's child from Firkraag, if you have Anomen in your party.
The Druid Grove, if you have Cernd in your party.
The Book of Kaza, if you have Korgan in your party.
The Nether scroll, if you have Edwin.
Obtaining the Planar Jewel, if you haven't even joined Haer'dalis but straightly sending him to the Five Flaggons after rescuing him.
All of the NPC's quests.
All of the described quests have 10 days limit, starting from the time you took the quest. For example, if you take Firkraag's quest and after 15 days join Anomen, in a couple of minutes he will spit out several lines of disapproval and will leave almost immediately. This won't happen if you fulfill Firkraag's quest before joining Anomen.
The Ust-Natha quests are timed. All of them. |

I'm in Chapter 6 doing all the misc quest I did not do in Chapter 2 & 3. I have had Anomen in my party since Chapter 2.
Just got the quest from Lord Firkaag, so does this mean I have a time limit. Asking because I'm still working on a quest from the Temple.
Thanks
