| | | impossible This is really hard to decide, i have chosen the fighter, because of their skill with weapons such as long swords... A fighter/berserker dual-wielding Blackrazor and Angurvadal/Celestial?/other gets really tough later on in the game.
But still, a paladin with carsomyr, og a ranger with crom fayer/axe of the unyielding/FoA ??!

| | | There's no answer... Your question has no answer, because "a party" is undefined,a nd so is "best". What do you want the character to do, what role do you want them to perform ? Without answering that, and without knowing who else is in that party, there is no meaningful answer.
If the primary function is dealing toe-to-toe damage, I'd say a Kensai is the king in those choices. If you're wanting a tank to "take a licking and keep on ticking", it's going to be hard to beat a straight-up fighter, though it's pretty close with Paladin/Ranger buffs, and a fighter-mage can probably do best of all in that role.

| | | I voted for the Paladin.
Especially the Inquisitor, because with his Dispel Magic at 2x his level, you can dispel anything! And with Casomyr (or the other pally's swords in ToB) you can kill everything. |

| | | I'd say a paladin as well.
Of course, it depends of the party alignment and a couple other things but overall, even a plain paladin can be an excellent fighter with Carsomyr while having some very useful powers at the same time, making them more versatile than fighters and rangers IMO.

| | | I think you should ask a mod to add "impossible to reply" option.
Too hard to say. I voted fighter cause you may dual them and obtain a K/T, or a F/M. But depends on what you are doing for real.
I mean, this thread is kinda confusing. Too open wide question. |

| | | Paladin, Ranger or Fighter? I say paladin, not only for Casomyr and the Purifier (awesome weapons), but also for the undead hunter kit. Immunity to level drains and the bonus to fighting the undead (as there are a fair amount of them in SoA) are awesome bonuses. I'm sure there are those who will disagree, but that's what forums are for right? |

| | | I meant which one u think would be the best guy to battle in melle, keep the enemies away from the mages and rogues and kill most effectively.

Especially an Inquisitor, because it's simply the best class bar none to disrupt enemy spellcasters, and with Carsomyr, or another set of weapon(s) - whichever suits your tastes - they can still fight very well, almost as well as a plain fighter (only missing the grandmaster proficiencies)

MODs (like the Grand mastery fix), buffs, weapons and armour make a much bigger difference than the class & kit choices.
A few offensive specialists (Kensai, monk, stalker, archer, spring to mind) would be poor choices because they're not really good at taking a beating, especially early in the game.

| | | Assuming you're not running a diabolically evil party, Paladin all the way (SPOILER - Get Carsomyr from Firkraag in Windspear hills, upgrade it in expansion - it totally rocks! -). Anyhow, though, Fighters great for dual-classing, but Inquisitor Paladin gets instant True Sight & Dispel.
