noobs questions

what does thaco and lore stand for. please help. dont have the manual

Well THAC0 means To Hit Armour Class 0. Basically it determines your ability to hit someone. The lower the better. And each item has a lore value, you need to have that lore value or higher to identify that item. Lore advancement works as follows: Bard 10/level, Thief and Mage 3/level, all other classes 1/level. So the higher the better. And since you don't have a manual I'll tell ya that lower armour class is better too. Good luck.

@MoKa, why don't you have the manual? If you have a legal copy of the game, and have lost the hard version of the manual, you should find the manual in PDF format in your SoA directory
