New NPC recruitment policy

If there was a way of recruiting the various NPC's in BG2 SOA to your side that you recognise from BG 1, such as:

1) Ajantis - upon dispelling the illusion cast on the knights that you can recruit him and journey with him to clear out the Windspear evil but leaves after clearing out watcher keep so that he can make sure helms faithful have not been led astray
2) Coran - when you defeat the werewolves he comes along with you to Athkathla and your subsequent travels with an ending of joining up with Saemons smugglng ring right before you battle balthazar
3) Tiax - he survives the Irenicus massacring of the spellhold mages and journeys with you to defeat Irenicus and has some interesting things to say when the npc meets up with cyric but leaves before battling amelyssan so that he remains loyal to cyric and goes his own path
4) Garrick - joins up with you temporarily to prove himself to that lady paladin by committing to a quest(s) that the npc is involved centering around the paladin theme
5) Kivan - joins up with you before clearing out Temple Ruins to discover new meaning since the death of his love and the subsequent killing of tazok, but upon valygars completion the planar sphere returns to umar hills to take over as the ranger-protector of the village once it becomes apparent that valygar plans on staying with the party and joins with madulf in helping you with the paladin quests

Creating npcs that enhance the BG2 game/quests but that do not have the long-term effect of npcs like imoen/jahiera.

would you do it ? Do any of these sound like a good idea ? I'd like your opinion.

There already mods for Kivan and Tiax, either finished or in works.

Your missing my meaning.

Yeah i noticed them but they didn't build on the storyline that the main protaginist and that they were in at that time such as tiax in spellhold, or ajantis in windspear hills - plus the kivan mod also lets you get his wife in bg2 even though she died in bg1 and with the reintroduction of tazok - it makes of a good plot.

The idea is to give a more interaction between them and the protaginist but with the quests/banter to give them meaning in the game but also give them meaningful endings so that you are not too distracted from using the main npcs during the entire bg2/tob game.

That is what I'd like to find out - if the posts regarding bg1 npcs in the first post would be something that other users would be interersted in doing given that the chance was provided.
