Post Need help with this issue =/

I've been looking all over my house for the last week for BG2 and TOB.

Found BG2 case hidden in some cabinet (WTF?) it had CDs 1, 3, and 4.

Found TOB in a basement storage room around some other games.

I've looked pretty much everywhere and can't find the CD 2. Is there any way to get another without buying the game again?

That would suck, but I guess I would do it to play the new total conversion thing.

Peace

Man that real does suck. I would try going to the bioware web site and ask your question there. Maybe they could sell just the disc you need. I am not to sure if that would work but it is worth a try.

And welcome to the board

Considering CD2 is the 'play' CD, you have probably left it in an old CD Drive.

Yea I know its the Play CD, but its definately not in an old CDROM drive since I only have two computers, one being a laptop.

Since I have the game installed on my laptop (had to go on some thing for a few weeks) could I just transfer all the game files over after setting them up on a LAN?

I couldn't play TDD though probably since it most likely requires the CD2 play disc...

If the LAN idea would work, is there any way to disable the CD requirement?

I know in some games you can like copy a file from the CD and tell the game to look for it in the directory or something instead of the CD. I could atleast borrow the disk from my cousin to do this.

Any help, appreciated.

You can copy CD2 to your hard drive in order to run a full installation, but you will still need to have CD2 in your drive to play

If you can't find it, Interplay's tech support is probably the best way to go. Assuming you registered the game, there should be no problem with offering proof of ownership. And even if you didn't register, there's probably a unique registration number in your registry that you can use.

Thanks guys, I contacted Interplay.

If you've had the game longer than 90 days, it costs $5 for a replacement CD but that's a lot better than buying the whole game over again

Gonna check home one more time when I go back for Thanksgiving but I doubt I'll find it.

Thanks again

Another solotion, I know interplay isn't gonna like this, but since you already OWN the game, just copy the CD-Rom from a friend!

Will that work though? I mean I know the files can be copied to a CD but if you do this with like Diablo 2's play CD it will install the files, but when attempting to play the game it won't recognize the burnt CD as real.

Anyone know if this would work?
