Multiple romances?

First time I played BG2 I had mostly PCs that I made up, but reading up I see a lot of the fun are in the interactions of the NPCs. My question is can you carry on multiple romances with Jaheira, Vicona, and Aeire within one game and have them all pan out? Or do you have to pick and choose, or even only have one of them with your party to be successful.
