Post Multi-class stronghold question(some spoilers)

I'm playing a multi-class fighter/thief. I got the thief stronghold, but when I cleared out Nalia's keep, I didn't get to become "Lord". In fact, absolutely nothing happened. It's still just a mess with nobody living there several weeks(game time) later. Did I do something wrong? Am I supposed to be offered this since I'm a fighter?? Can you not have two strongholds at once? I did get the thief stronghold BEFORE I went to Nalia's so maybe that's why. This is my first multi-class character so I'm not sure how it's supposed to work.

You're only allowed one stronghold in a game, so yup, it's the fact that you got the thief one that's preventing you from getting the fighter one.

There was apparently a bug somewhere that let you get the fighter and the mage one if you dual or multi classed those two classes, but may have been fixed in a patch or TOB, not sure.

I understand you were supposed to do nalia's quest first, initially decline, then go for your other stronghold. Once you had that, you could return and claim the fighter stronghold. But don't take my word for it, I've never played as a fighter type.

Yes, this is how you do it, but it may have been corrected in a patch(?).

Yeah, it was fixed.

Well my kensai/thief (soloing) has both the thief and fighter strongholds, i got the thief one first though so maybe that wasn't anticipated by the script writers. It's a nice supplement to the income but the thief hall is really just paying for all the crap that the damn people living near the fort want. ffs, they just keep whinging and aren't happy unless you routinely shell out for all sorts of trivial crap. By itself the darn fort is a money drain for some time. +500 a week but it seems every week some problem crops up that 'needs' like 1000 gold to solve. And visiting BOTH places at least once a week is a PITA too.

Don't visit the Keep too often; money will still be placed every week, but the "money pit" will only open up when you actually go and visit.

And making Isaea Roenall wait for six weeks is a good thing all by itself.
