| | Most Involved Romance Through SoA AND ToB??? I know this subject has been extensively covered, but I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for, hence another question about NPC romances.
For those of you who have brought them to completion, what are your views on the romances for Aerie, Jaheira and Viconia for both SoA and/or ToB? Which of them had the most involved or satisfying dialogue for each part? For SoA I found Jaheira's to be both, followed by Viconia and lastly Aerie. However, for ToB I have no idea since I always seem to restart once I get to the pocket plane - I definitely want to take along Sarevok, but can't decide who to drop. With that in mind I'm starting a new game with a Stalker but would like a little info about the romance development for Throne of Bhaal.
So with this in mind did any of them surprise or disappoint? As much detail as you wish to provide - I don't mind spoilers since I've played through already, just not with any romance option...
Thanks,

| | Many people say that Viconia's the most satisfying. I agree.
Now it's a matter of what you find more satisfying. That's what you can get from them in the end... (spoiler, highlight to read):
(Are you sure you want spoilers about romances you still have to play?)
Aerie: a baby! (Nice)
Viconia: she changes alignment and becomes true neutral, if you make the right choices and in the end ask her to. Now tell me if it isn't what you always wished for! I'd actually had tears in my eyes.
NOTE: it happens in-game and it has some major gaming effects... like she starts turning undead instead of controlling them. Be warned
Jaheira: absolutely nothing. (What were you expecting?)
Also, many people say that Viconia's "epilogue" is the saddest of all. I agree here too.

| | @ serjeLeBlade - Don't worry about the spoilers. I checked out the epilogues a long time ago, it's just the parts that get you there that I haven't experienced! Actually, I've completed all three through SoA, it's the interactions throughout ToB that I'm interested in. In terms of storyline in the expansion, who's stood out? I've heard Jaheira's is boring but beyond that...

| | | All four of the romances are poor in TOB, sadly. Jaheira's, who I greatly prefer in SOA, lacks for just about everything in TOB. They went for "comfortable familiarity" and instead got "incredibly boring and lifeless."
Aerie's is probably the most engaging in TOB, and that's not saying much because hers has a very annoying forced event in it.

| | | Well, Viconia's romance in ToB actually require you to do something, make choices, and these choices have game consequences (other than having your lover happy or upset with you, I mean).
So I'd say that it's best on the interaction part.
Anyway, don't know much about Aerie's, I never played the ToB part yet!

| | I liked Viccy's romance in ToB I can't explain it, I just thought it was done better than the others. The whole change of aighnment, the way she decides to renew relations with your PC, I don't know, I just liked it.
Right now, I am playing with Tashia mod installed. It's the first romance mod I have used, but I think it is very well done.
I'll probablt get around to all the others in turn. I just been lazy lately

| | | Yes, Vicky has those choices, but like the choices involved with Sarevok and the Solar, they felt so obvious that I didn't really feel like there was much... reward to it.

| | I've noticed that a lot of evil people eventually become good. There are like none for the opposite. (The only one I can think of is Anomen, even though it's chaotic neutral).

| | | Viccy's romance was the only one in ToB that didn't feel rushed. And the final text made me swallow hard.
Koveras, there is of course the big betrayal when you get to Spellhold. It's not exactly what you mean of course, but still, it's a big change in how the npc acts and behaves.

You gain nothing else than a chance for roleplaying. Actually, you have to give up something, if you want her to become non-evil.
It's like the choices with the Solar, agreed.
It's like the choices with Sarevok, obvious.
It's like the "choices" you have to do in hell if you don't want to become evil yourself!
Hey, it's the way the game works!
Point me to some "less obvious" choices in the game if you know any
(If you are going to put them in one of your mods, I'll be obviously downloading it asap... as usual....) As we are at it ...how's Viconia flirt pack doing?

| Right, but I'm saying that because it's so obvious, the roleplaying reward is light. For me, anyway. Negotiating with, say, CN Anomen after the events of his SOA romance is not as obvious. Quote:

As we are at it ...how's Viconia flirt pack doing? | Heh. You know, if I had the actresses, I WOULD scrap and rewrite the TOB romances. But, I don't.
Vicky's flirt pack is still where it was, I'm still trying to get inspired enough to finish Jaheira's. Oh so close.

| | | I never liked Viccy's or Aerie's in SoA, but I loved Jaheira's. In ToB, Jaheira's ending "paragraph" was really, really bad, although the ending dialogue wasn't bad (we you choose to become a god or not). Aerie's was pretty good, albit "happy endingish", and Viconia's was nice.
SoA best: Jaheira
ToB best: Viconia (Jaheira's was really terrible)

| | | Yes, both the TOB and Ascension Jaheira epilogues are crummy because they have very little to do with what we know of the Jaheira character. That's a real shame, but something I intend to rectify in her flirt pack.
