Post Mind Flayers, Kua-Toa or Beholders.

SPOILER (chapter 5)

you know the Matron Mother quest in the underdark, where you have to retrieve either a piece of the eldar brain, an eyestalk from an eldar orb or blood from the Kua Toa prince.

Which one of these gives the most exp?

I did the Mindflayer one with my previous character that got there.

thanks

They are all in seperate area's , why not do them all ? You might have missed a few good items.

I mean for the matron mother, yeah I'll probably do them after escaping the drow or sumthing

First pick then, beholders( you know with that cloack of reflection it almost makes me feel like I'm cheating.)

You might be better off if you delayed the beholder area until you have the Shield of Balduran, if you have ToB and the upgraded beholder lair combined with Xyx's Smart Beholders that is.

I seem to recall that the Mindflayers give the most experience. It is also easily the most difficult of the three. I wouldn't attempt 'em unless you have a good strategy in hand (there are several, depending upon party configuration and items) to deal with the little brainsuckers.

I feel that the beholder lair is more difficult than the mindflayer lair. Unless ofcourse you use shield of balduran or cloak of mirroring or have a monk. Monks rule the underdark. Gauths and beholders are a pain without those items. But also more funn without those items.

i always do the mind flayer dungeon. u get the most exp. and u get a lot of money there.
The Beholder Dungeon aint harder then the mind flayers but only the first room is hard fighting a Elder Orb and a Beholder (and some gauths IIRC)
the rest is eas in that dungeon.
The Kun Tao is EASY but u have to do it because u need the girdle of strenght u get from the demon knights for Crom

In the End I just did them all.

Demonknights were the hardest.

Mind Flayers : No match for a wand of cloudkill

I did the beholderlair first. got transported too the Kua Toa lair by the silver dragon then just reversed.

easy
