Question melf/energy blades bug

Hi all,

first post cause all my questions have been answered so far thanks to the "search" function...

Surprinsingly I didn't find anything about the bug I have to deal with, not here neither on bioware forums, though I'm sure it must have happened before.

I play a solo sorceror in BG2+ ToB+ last patch+last fixpack+ BGTrilogy Weidu+ other weidu mods (ascension, ease of use etc...)

Whenever I cast Melf's Minute Meteor or Energy Blades, my attacks/rounds is not set correctly.

Instead of having 5 attacks/round with MMM or 9 a/r with Energy Blades, I just have 1 attack/round with MMM or 2 with Energy Blades thanks to the haste effect included in this spell.

I have to save/load a game to set the number of attacks correctly. Like, if I want to have 5 attacks/round with MMM i have to cast the spell then save with my sorceror having his 20meteors and then load to have 5attacks/round. Tis annoying of course, especially with energy blades which becomes quite useless with only 2 attacks/round.

I played 2 games before the solo sorceror and AFAIR I don't think I had this bug with edwin or aerie. I didn't change/add any mods since the installation AFAIR.

I think the bug comes from one of your mods as in my unmodded but patched version of SoA and ToB, the attacks are correct.

Do you still get the same number of attacks but the number says otherwise or are your attacks significantly slower?

the number of attack is lowered according to the number shown in my character table. Otherwise I wouldn't care. Strangely I didn't find anything on some weidu msgboards.

Perhaps there is a conflict between some of the mods that causes this?

This bug is not a part of the original game.

I only know of a similar issue. If you have something equipped which grants you extra attacks, your number of attacks will wrap around the maximum and end up at the bottom again. I recommend unequipping everything and then looking if the number of attacks is correct, if you haven't already done that. I hope this helps.

Best regards,
Lark
