Question maldulf initial quest

I have completed the temple ruins quest and spoke to the Mayor to get the rewards, and he mentioned the Maldulf the ogre info. I Left to do the Druid Grove and a couple of other things, but still in Chpt 3 and when i returned to Umar Hillsi could not find Madulf. I never saw him before but went to where i know he was (having loaded an earlier game to confirm location). Much like the previously mentioned invisible chickens i hear laughing and noise from the are, but no Madulf. My journal entry has also disappeared telling me about the quest. Is the a CLUA command to reset the quest? If so i would be enormously grateful if someone shared it with me. I would not mind a similar fix to the invisible chicken problem - again - hear the chickens but nowhere to be seen - and neither is Jeb. I found links about the Ranger quest with the ogres but am looking for the inital quest qith madulf and Minister Lloyd.

Thanks

Check here for basic info on the Umar Hills area. For a comprehensive walkthrough, read Dan Simpson's FAQ/Walkthrough.

Note for rangers: There is a timer on the stronghold quests, so if you take too long, you lose the stronghold.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
