Mac OSX Bugs/Assertion Errors

Hey! First post, been lurkin here for years though and possibly had an account years ago.

Anyways, just installed the game again on my mac and have had some problem.

First is that every hour or so my character seem to stop being able to move further then a few inches, if you click to far away they just stand there, same goes for enemys npcs etc. If I restart the games it solves itself but thats quite tedious as you might imagine.

Second is that I have difficulties saving the game sometimes. It jsut says failed to save game, do you want to quit? Yes/No. When I searched for help I saw that removing the default.tot file in the temp folder it solves it but is there a more permanent solution?

Last is that my game get Assertion err CCspell 1536, not quite sure exactly what it says but I can look it up if you need it. It's when I meet the Githyankis on Jans quest in the Five Flagons. It's when one of them cast something with the same casting effect as magic missile, lightbing bolt etc. Don't think its MM though. From what I've understood it's some error with
the spelldisplay or likewise, is that true? What can I do?

As I said its the OSX version, TOB installed. Latest Patch and the fixpack installed

Solved this by reinstalling and not installing anything to do with spell animations in the fixpack. Should have figured it right away but. If anyone has ideas about the 2 other problems i'd aprreciate it.
