lots of strongholds!

I've started a new game and I'm getting offered ALL strongholds, not just Nalia's keep!
Now, I know my monk has high charisma but this is ridiculous. I can't imagine this being a simple bug and the only thing I've added to the vanilla game is the npc's flirt packs v1.0.
What caused this? And how do I get rid of it? I'm worried it will mess up my game.

Hi Coot:

Did you download any Weimer's mods or the Baldurdash Fixpack? I believe you must have downloaded the Multi Stronghold mod which allows you to gain access to all strongholds regardless of your class.

Yes, I did download the Baldurdash fixpack... to get rid of the game's bugs. Thanks, I didn't realize it included the multiple stronghold thing. Can I get rid of it though? Without reinstalling the game?

There should be a way, but I don't know how...

What I did was to install the Baldurdash patches individually, which was a long method but at least I could play the game straight.

The Baldurdash fix does not include the Multi-Stronghold patch. You might have added the patch in a while ago and have not taken it out yet.

Look in your Override directory and delete the following files (if you find them):
- AR0900.BCS
- AR0901.BCS
- AR0902.BCS
- AR0904.BCS
- AR1401.BCS
- BHARVAL.DLG
- BHNALLA.DLG
- BHOISIG.DLG
- CECHALLE.DLG
- CEFALDOR.DLG
- DEMSON.DLG
- GARREN.DLG
- HAERDA.DLG
- HPRELATE.DLG
- LAVOK.DLG
- NALIA.DLG
- NALIAJ.DLG
- RAELIS.DLG
- RENAL.DLG
- UHMAY01.DLG

And then put the ones in the attachment into the Override directory.
Attached Files
File Type: zip override.zip (19.7 KB, 80 views)

I downloaded the Throne of Bhaal bugfixes from Baldurdash, after reinstalling the game recently, and those include the multiple stronghold stuff.
Thanks a lot for the files, Sabre.

This does nor sound like the baulderdash fix pach to me

If it was "ease of use" then there is an easy way to fix

If it was EoU then go to cdrive/program files/black Isle/bgII
look for a box, blue stripe/border called Ease of use double click and follow the dos prompt, select uninstall mutiple strong holds

What I don't understand is that to activate EoU you have to go through the above noted process

One question
Why would you uninstall ???
Way more quests, i love the druid quest as a mage
lots more exp extends the game by miles

Maybe so, but I don't like the idea from a roleplaying point of view.

Purists of RPGs should stay away from Weimer's mods. They are/ may be considered cheesy.

One fun aspect of having more than one stronghold is that you can afford to screw up some of the stronghold quests.
I got kicked out of the order of the Radiant Heart real fast... it seems I needed the 'detect evil' ability to solve a problem and since my pc isn't a paladin I had to gamble and of course I gambled wrong.
