Limited Wish Spell

I unfortunately didn't add Nalia to the party near the start so she is about 2 1/2 to 3 levels behind most of the party. I had started with Aerie but saw how she was falling farther behind in the mage spell casting. Nalia had copied Limited Wish and I was waiting anxiously for her to make 14th level. It came and I could see from the dialog that about every choice in the repeatable wishes would end up "crocked". I then checked the guide here on GameBanshee and saw that wisdom effected the choices. With only a 9 wisdom Nalia won't be using the spell much. Are there any wisdow enhancing items that a mage can use. I have saved some potions of perception, if she drinks one and then casts the spell will that help?

I did figure a cheesy way to "crock" one of the "crocked" choices. Make lemonade out of lemons so to speak.

**spoiler** below
Anomen is high enough level now (17th) to explode about any undead that venture in the way. I strongly suspected the choice "I wish to be protected from undead" would end up summoning undead. Anomen wears the Amulet of Power that prevents level drain I got from the Shadow Thieves. I cast invisibility on everyone except Anomen and Nalia. I backed everyone into a corner where nothing could appear behind them and put Anomen out front. I cast the spell and picked the "undead" option. Sure enough in popped 6 vampires (interesting that vampires evidently have different levels as well judging from their varying xp values). Clicked the "Turn Undead" button and poof all 6 vampires exploded at once. 63,000 xp in 3 seconds!!! Their little teleport circles didn't even finish drawing before the pieces started flying. A couple of them were the "greater" vampire type as they were worth 14500 xp apiece. I reloaded after I did it mostly because it seemed too easy. But it was fun to crock the Dao's prank. I guess depending on how you look at it you could make the arguement that since you took what was intended as harm and out thought the Dao you are entitled to it.

Unfortunably, no... unless you count potions as "Wisdom Enhancing Items"

If you have someone with high WIS, you can have them talk to the Djinn before it finishes materializing. This will use the WIS of the talker rather than the caster. Anomen should work fine in this capacity if he has passed his test. I don't quite remember all of the values, but I don't think there is anything that requires a greater WIS than 16.

Can't the +1 WIS stone be worn on the head by a mage? 9 or 10 wis doesn't matter that much though. I'd recommend to get another scroll and teach Aerie the spell. She can handle it pretty well.

Thanks Everyone

Appreciate the help. I don't think mages (or thieves) can use Ioun stones (don't know why though) but you're right Trifalas going from 9 to 10 won't make a difference anyway. At this point I've had Aerie out of the party for so long I don't think I can get her to where she could cast 7th level mage spells until well into Throne of Bhaal because I am about to finish the whole Underdark chapter. Guess I will have try her again on another run through (I really like Aerie but it just takes so long to get her there). For this trip though it looks lilke either the potions or try the Anomen ploy.

Originally Ioun stones were not usable by any character that could not wear helmets. There is a Baldurdash tweak to fix this and it may have changed with ToB, as well.
