Killing Irenicus

Hey everyone I just want to find out the strategy that everyone had for killing Irenicus? mine was that i summoned lost of monsters and then when Irenicus and his demons came out the door i quickly moved my characters down to the bottom right of the map and the demons would attack my summoned monsters.

Then i sent Viconia out to face the slayer because she has high magic resistance and he'd eventually use up all his spells on her so then i would send out all my companions, with edwin using ray of reversal, and my main character turning into a slayer i just managed to kill him, with only edwin and my main character left...I know that was evil of me but at least i beat him
