Killing Effreti?

This may be a stupid question but here goes. In the temple district where the guarded compound is there is an effreti in the first level. I can kill it to the point where it assumes a gaseous form and turn blue. Then a little while latter it re-spawns and attacks again. So my question: Is there any way to actually kill it and get xp.??

I usually cast cloudkill in th area where it turns gaseous. Not sure if I got the xp but it never comes back up.

Hmm.. I never encountered that problem. He never respawned on me.... Try nailing it with a death spell, or something.

Yes, mine respawned too. But I killed him again! And he died. I recieved 8000 exp. I think that it's like with Vampires in ToB: he transforms into gaseous form when he's near dead so you must inflict lots of damage at once to kill him.

They turn gasseous two times max, I believe. If you rest while it's gasseous, it's usually unsummoned.

Happens to mee. Better to wait he comes back of the gaseous form and kill him again. While he is in gaseous you can set traps or cast skull traps.
