Jahiera Curse XP Bug?

I discovered this by accident. I'm currently working on the Jaheira romance (damn, it's a hard one).

While working on the curse quest, I decided I needed a Magic License. Remembering I could get it at the Government District, I went there. On the way out of the building, I met Torrence. If you can't remember, Torrence is the mage mercenary who cast the curse on Jahiera in the first place, while under the employ of Baron Ployer. Torrence offers to NOT be at the confronation of Ployer for the end of the quest for something like 2000 gp.

So, thinkin' I'm all big now, I saunted my way to the Derelict House in the Slums (Ployer's Place). When Ployer called for his back-up, it never came! You can bargain with him, being the good guy, and he agrees to stand down, and leave the Harpers, and Jaheira alone.

CHA-CHING! 36800 quest xp and Jaheira's hair!

I thought I was done. THEN! Jaheira steps up, and spouts drivel about no mercy for Harpers killers, and kills him.

Bada-boom. Bada-BING! 36800 quest xp. AGAIN!!

Is it counted twice, or is it just a bug?? Someone know what I am talking about?
