Jaheira quest

I'm in chapter 3 and have done all (I think) quests I'm able to do at this point in the game, except the remainder of the Jaheira Harper thing. I've killed the Harpers in their stonghold at the docks, all I have to do is go tell Renal I'm ready to go and I'm off to Byrnnlaw. Anyway, will the rest of her quest wait for me until I return? I just don't feel like resting that much to release the trigger? Isn't it like 2 weeks or something like that? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the quest will still be available after you return. But resting doesn't have an effect as her quest is real-time not game-time.
