I wonder, that is there any chance to get in de'Arnise's keep tower from basement. Steps are near where Daleson came out from barrel.
And other thing. When looking after Haer'Dalis, there are also steps to upper level in room where elf is. Can I go up there?
My char is wizard slayer dwarf with azureedge and giant's hair crossbow. Nasty piece of muscle.

For the stairs in the De'Arnise Hold, the door can be opened but the top of the stairs are bricked over, that's why you can't go up there.
As for Mekrath's Domain, the stairs where Haer'Dalis is found, also cannot be used. That whole floor is reused from Durlag's Tower in BG1. The stairs you use to enter the room can be climbed to the top giving you a nice view of the Bridge District.
