hostile npc I need to talk to

Hi guys,

Revianne appeared to fight Jaheira when I emerged from the Underdark, and as soon as she goes hostile after talking, so does Elhan and everyone in the area. I tried running away before I saw that happening, but now that I come back and have the lanthorn, Elhan is still hostile and attacking. When I attack back, I get killed by the elven sage, of course.
How can I solve this? I don't want to go back before the underdark and wait for Revianne to appear beforehand!

I don't know if it will work, but you could try charm or domination spells.

Try kicking Jaheira out of your party before exiting the Underdark. You can also try to avoid talking to her but that probably won't work out.

I remember reading about that problem somewhere. You could kick her out like Anarchista says, but that might risk ruining the quest because she will be upset about it.

I vaguely remember someone suggesting that you pause the game immediately upon exiting the Underdark (before Revianne appears), CTRL - J to a corner of the map, and Revianne will appear there away from the rest of the elves. I've never tried that, so I can't say if it'll work, but it's worth a shot.

If CTRL - J takes too long to respond and you can't jump fast enough, you could also cheat yourself to another area, complete the battle, then teleport back to the Underdark Exit.

Install the patches and *especially* the G3 Fixpack and then reload a save right before you exit the Underdark. I had this very same problem my first run through, and it bugged my game making it unfinishable since you need to be able to speak to Elhan. The Baldurdash fixes which are part of the G3 Fixpack prevent spawns related to the Jaheira romance in that particular area.
